Additional of VCD and puzzle

I always have this habit, whenever i get my bonus or get Ex gratia, i will surely buy something for Xinru... hehe Although even if i am not getting any, the only thing that keep increasing will be her clothing.. and now the wardrobe that we are sharing are already packed!! I even have to shift some over to lump with my hubby's one.. hehe

This month we received our Ex-gratia, as usual, i went to Toy 'r' Us and got her a few things...

1. Bob the Builder VCD and Thomas and Friends VCD - Reason why i am buying these 2 VCD for her is.... She like these 2 and she call them her favourite... She has got 1 Barney VCD that has a short introduction of Bob the Builder and she tell me 'Mummy, i like this one leh... my favourite...' then i ask her 'What other things is Xinru's favourite??' She tell me 'many many things...' haha.. Then as for the Thomas and Friends, when she saw the pyjamas or toys on this, she will also tell me she like it... Although i am kind of against buying those now to 'boy's kind of stuff... but i don't mind letting her explore a little since it's those music kind of VCD... :P

2. Alphabet Puzzle - this one looks kind of interesting to me.. hehe so i bought it for her..

She has always love watching Barney and will follow what they sing and how they dances.. Sometimes i am amazed by her power of absorbtion to the video and songs in just watching them twice.... :)

2. She loves the handphone... She will always use the handphone which was used by me previously to snap photos of things at home and playing 'talking' with the invisible... :P








3. Xinru tends to do all sort of funny things at home... Acting funny, trying to be funny... and she really does make our days at home more enjoyable but when she turns notti, it's a disater... hehe But most of the time, she only want us to stay with her and play with her else she will start to do things that make you stay with her.. hehe




4. I would say that her speech development is not bad though.. Well well.. not a praise but i cannot imagine a toddler coming to 28 months can talk till like that... Sometimes making me don't how to answer her.. and she loves to ask 'WHY'.... She might be talking to me about this for a moment, when she saw some other pictures, she automatically link what she was saying to the picture and i am really amazed by that... She is creativity... :)

24 May 2008 - Was an ordinary Saturday except that hubby was working... so the whole day was me and Xinru... Overall, she was well behaved.. :)

The previous night, i was very thirsty and had a cold fruit tea and i did not sleep the whole night... End up was still quite awake in the morning... Asked hubby to wake up to entertain Xinru so i can go and catch a short sleep but he is always so 'piggy' lor... Ended up i 'forced' hubby to wake up to go and eat since he don't want to let me rest, he cannot rest also... whahahah

After we came back home from breakfast, let Xinru rest a while and i bathe her and get her to take her nap cause we are going to attend hubby's Malay fren's wedding at Yishun.

She slept around 12noon and after that i went to catch a short nap and woke up an hour later to bath and prepare the stuff. She woke up near to 2pm and when she open her eyes, she saw me and smile so brightly to me.... she ask me 'Where is daddy?' and after tellin her, she went to the study room to find him.

I changed her and changed myself and we left the house shortly... We took a bus to Yishun and halfway thru, it started to rain heavily.... And just when we reach, the rain stopped.

Xinru was well behaved when we go out.. Example: when we need to cross the road, she will hold hubby and my hand together to cross. When going up and down the escalator, she will hold our hands as well. While in the wedding venue, she behaves herself very well, so after we left, we went to Northpoint... and although she will run around but she will stay near us and keep asking us what is this and what is tat... hehe... A never ending question girl... hehe

When we reached home, it was about 5+ already, gave her some milk and entertain her so that she won't feel sleepy... haha... On and off she make noise cause i know she wants to sleep already so tolerate some of her nonesense... hehe...

It was just an ordinary day... But something happen after Xinru fell asleep...

As usual, after bathing her she will take her milk and followed by watching her Barney's VCD then slowly drifted to sleep... I don't know why i feel very tried and super tired tat night, when she fell asleep, i fell asleep also and into deep sleep. Hubby was having his examination that night, hence no one came to the room to transfer Xinru or to wake me up...

Suddenly, a loud cry breakout.. the next thing i open my eyes, Xinru is not on the bed with me!!! I jumped off the bed and carried her up... I think i am stoned so i did not sense anything difference of her normal falling...

I carried her and normally after coaxing her a while she will go back to her beauty sleep but that night was different.... She was crying so bitterly... she cries like she seldom cry before unless she feel pain... From tat moment, i sense somethings not right already...

She cried and cried.... and tell me pain pain... and i eventually hug her to sleep....

Shortly, hubby returned... i told hubby and hubby give me a look.... I know he is not very happy that this has happen again cause due to my neglience, she has fell down a few times already... hubby say that i should have waited for her to sleep first... i was kind of anger but i did blame myself la... I did not dare to move her till she really fell into deep sleep....

After moving her to her bed, i went to the living room and hubby asked if i have tranfer her to her bed... then i just keep quiet lor... He did not really say anything... but i can feel he is upset...

Thru the night, she woke up a few times crying and ended up i only slept for a few hours.... The next day when i wake up, she somehow like injure her arms like tat, don't quite dare to move her arms and did complain that her arms are painful...

As usual, i brought her to the school and went to see doctor myself, just in case i need to bring her for Xray... I mention to her teacher and ask them to keep a lookout for me if anything's not right, just give me a call...

Later in the afternoon, i called them up and apparetly the teachers told me that she is as usual just that she will go and tell her teacher whom have not know about her arms that her arms are pain....

Later that night, hubby ensure that he came open the room door half an hour interval to make sure that the same incident don't happen again... After she slept that night, hubby tell me 'next time let her sleep first then u sleep la....' Although he did not sound offensive... but i was kind of offended.... I replied him 'are u tired after returnin home after a day of work?? i come back i still need to cook for her, need to do this and tat, u tink i not tired lor... u tink i wan this to happen meh?? she like tat fall down i also heart pain mah...' and tat shuts hubby's mouth up... I knew i over-reacted... but i also feel frustrated....

Past few days have been monitoring her... she looks okie and sometimes when we hold her hand up when goin up and down the escalator, she is fine but sometimes when u touch her a little she will say pain... haizzz

Saturday, as usual i can have a few hours break from Xinru apart from working... So morning came, the bell rings, my part time maid is here... Started her work and shortly the 3 of us left home to bring Xinru to school but earlier on, bro call and say he was nearby so he will send us there... Xinru was usual excited when he heard that Uncle Ken is coming.. She loves her company most of the time... hehe when she saw him at the carpark, she did not even turn her head to see the parrot which was a routine to her everyday before going to the school...

Sent her to the school already the 3 of us went for breakfast and bro sent us back home..

Later in the afternoon, hb went to pick her and they took the shuttle bus home. The doorbell went off and i tot who could be the one pressing the bell so many times.. when i open the door, i saw hb and Xinru at the doorstep with hb's shirt stained with 'Teh Peng'... On the other hand, Xinru was telling me "mummy.. u see... " i ask her wat happen and she tell me 'Lemon tea lor... drip drip' then hb told what happen and i brought Xinru to wash her hands and legs.

Hb was telling me that the teachers mentioned that we did not bring mattress cover for her so end up she got to sleep without mattress cover... i was kind of feelin weird cause i remember clearly that i did put inside her bag. Suddenly Xinru just say 'Bryan sleep on Xinru's mattress..' then hubby and me was like ??????

The rest of the day, as usual... She has some notti acts that drive me nuts especially when it comes to the bathing time....

18 May 2008 - Uncle Ken's birthday

It was my brother aka Xinru's Uncle Ken's birthday so we went MacDonalds for breakfast. For the first time, Xinru got to drink the apple juice from the Kids Meal but i shared with her and managed to get her to eat about 1/2 of a hotcake...

We went to buy a cake for bro but did not cut cause all of us were so full already. End up he brings the cake home.

After eating, we went to NTUC X-tra for some shopping. We saw the luggage and bought it cause the one at home, the handle is coming off pretty soon. After a while we went back home.

After we reach home, clean up Xinru and bring her to nap. As usual, before napping, she ask for milk, then plain water while watching her favourite, Barney and drift off to her beauty sleep....

She woke up about 2 and 1/2 hours later and started doing her colouring, playing with her toys and when i am cooking her dinner, as usual, she asked me to go to the living room to play with her... So i brought her cooking playset to the kitchen and play 家家酒 with her.

She was so happy and played like real.. hehe... Some of the pic taken...

19 May 2008 - Vesak Day

A public holiday always refers to a day of resting at home for me and hubby... and so my poor little girl will always be either at home or in school.. kind of restricted to a few areas cause her mom is always so tired to go out... and even when the mood comes, her daddy will always say go there for what... haizz so my little girl will always be stuck at home...

In the morning when she woke up, she has her usual routine and i will do some light housechores... My little girl at home does help me around the house though... She is a little helper to me... :)

She not only help me in putting her own clothing to wash, she also helps to do those simple little things... Sometimes kids at home, not only want to play toys, watch tv or do those drawing and colourings... sometimes they do want to feel that they are somehow useful to us or at home... :)

She behaved very well at home so as a reward, we brought her down to the playground for 45mins... Before going down, we make some agreement and indeed when i say times up to go home, she went home happily... :)

Hubby was working and i am on leave so i bring Xinru to the childcare centre. Before going out, she took the Minnie Mouse purse and tell me 'mummy, 我去吧杀leh...我去买fish,肉肉还有vegetable...' then i was like smiling and asking her again '你要去吧杀买什么?' then she tell me '肉肉咯,fish咯,vegetable咯...' then shortly i bring her to the childcare centre...

Last nite Xinru was making lots of noise... cause she wants me to play with her while i need to cook her dinner.... So i ask her daddy to play with her but she refused... Insisted that she wants me to sit with her... and so i sat for a while and when i tried to sneak over to cook, she started running to the kitchen and cried!!!

Haizz... hubby came over and tried to coaz her over but she die die also dun wan... end up, i ask hubby to let her be... Hubby also kind of give up... then i managed to get her to stop and a while later... start again... hubby again came and try to bring her to the hall and she still continue to cry there.... End up i went to the hall with her and sit with her for a while...

After a while when she is ok, i sneak to cook again and there she call me and started running to the kitchen and start to cry again... Faint... Finally managed to get something for her to help me... hehe Cause i bought a container to put her Alphabet cube inside so it will not be messy and i got her to keep them in..

Hubby shake his head and ask me "When i am not at home leh?' I told my hubby 'same lor.. now u know my sufferings rite... i got to tolerate her noise...' then he give me those pity look....

During her dinner she was fine, add quite a lot last night and had 1/2 an apple. After that she went to play her toys and after my dinner i bath her.. One thing good is when hubby is around, she will ask hubby to bath her.. haha at least i can rest a little...

I bring her to bed around 930pm last night. She asked hubby to make milk for her while we both waited in the room. When hubby came in with the milk, Xinru tell me 'Mummy, i cannot sleep' i was surprise when she say that and ask her 'why leh?' she tell me 'Xinru very hot' then hubby and me broke out laughing.. After a while she adjusted herself and say '欣如很热' then i on the fan cooler and get her to drink milk.

After her milk, as usual, she will watch Barney and was watching the Beach one and she tell me 'Mummy, i wan to go there leh..' then referring to the seaside then i tell her 'after daddy's exam then we go ok' then she nod her head... a while later, she tell me that she wan to go barbecue cause Barney are having barbecue so i told her that 'when mummy got the time, mummy will arrange with uncles and auntie to come barbecue again lor..'

Last night she was consider good except when i was doing the cooking... :)

She is so cute
Last nite when i wanna go to bath, after tellin Xinru i went to the room with her running behind me and tellin me she wan to go in.. Then i tell her that 'Mummy pong pong, Xinru cannot go in.. shame shame leh..' then she stay near my bed and smile to me... so i happily close the toilet door, not aware that the edge is gonna cut thru my toes..

When i close the door, "OUCH" the edge of the door kana my toes n the nail tears away from my toes... I was in pain and went to sit on the bed.. Xinru came to me and ask me what happen? after i tell her she ask me 'Mummy, pain ah??' then i tell her 'ya.. pain... see got blood..' the next thing she did was she ran to the living room and get her daddy into the room... while runnin back in, her daddy ask her 'why?' and she tell her 'mummy 流血' and when hubby came in, she stared at me while hubby askin me what happen...

I went ahead w my bath and when i came out, my mom ask how was my leg and my mom told me that 'Xinru came to tell me your leg 流血'... my mom was laughing when saying this...
Then Xinru came running to me and ask me 'Mummy, ok u?' i was like laughin n tell her 'ok lor..' then she tell me 'come come..' and get me to sit on the sofa and ask to see my leg... then she tell me 'mummy ok u? better a not..' hehe i felt the concern from her... hehe

Another cute thing is... I happen to saw a phamplet on the SK Jewellery and i tell Xinru to go n show her daddy then necklace tat i wan from the phamplet.so she went in and say 'daddy' then no more sound from her.. and she ran out from the room and tell me 'Mummy... which one huh?' after i point to her already, she went to the room again and tell her daddy 'Daddy.. mummy wan this one leh...' then her daddy 'huh?' and saw me peekin into the room...

Hubby then tell her 'tell mummy daddy no $$' then she paused a while and came out to me and tell me 'mummy... daddy say dun haf' then i tell Xinru that 'ai ya... daddy so stingy one.. wun buy for mummy..' then suddenly she tell me... 'Mummy... xinru buy for u okie...' i was like surprise and she tell me again 'xinru buy for mummy ok.. mummy want tis one ah?' then i smile and tell her 'ok... u wanna buy for mummy ah?' and she nodded and say 'ya..' then she see the phamplet and tell me 'mummy, we share share hor..' at first i tot what she mean by share share.. so i tell her okie... then she point to one necklace and tell me 'mummy, we share share hor..' then i ask her 'u mean u buy for mummy and share share w mummy ah?' then she tell me 'ya..' and i ask her again 'not Xinru buy for mummy meh.. still wan to share ah...' then she tell me 'must share share mah...' then i ok lor...

After a while i ask her to see the pendent tat i am wearin is it the same as what was on the phamplet and she tell me 'mummy...u got necklace liao leh.. u wan ah..' then i smile and tell her 'not the same mah...' and she like orh orh like tat... just nice her daddy came out and i ask her to go n discuss w her daddy... and she went to her daddy and point on the phamplet... :)

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mummies n Mummies to Be... :)

A Mother's Day to me is just a ordinary day except that me and my siblings will bring my mom out for meals... What about me?? hmmm tis is the second Mother's Day in my life.. haha as usual, nothing was expected and nothing was given la... No choice... hubby dun believe is sending me gift on behalf of Xinru... so tink i gotta wait a few more years before getting my gift..hehe.. Hmm tis is not a complain or grumble ya...
Tis year's Mother's Day was better than the 1st one.. Why i say so.. cause i remember last year Mother's Day, i was kind of pek cheh by the up one (hb) and the down one (Xr)... where this year, although i started the day with Xinru throwin tanturms.. but after tat tanturms, she was sweet thru... and as for hb, he did help me after i told him that 'Hey, it's Mother's Day today and i ought to have some free time bah...'

Xinru was kind of funny and i tink she really try to be funny with me for the past few days cause she felt real insecure n wants my attention.... In the morning, i cant remember what i told her.. then she told me 'I like mummy....' and she will call me very sweetly... then i told her 'Mummy loves Xinru also.. but Xinru must be a good gal..' then she answer me 'Mummy dun wan Elliot okie..' cause there was one period of time when i kept teasing her that i dun wan her and i wan Elliot...i was kind of surprise tat she said that to me.. and i assure her that 'Mummy of course wants and love Xinru... Xinru is mummy's only and only dearest' and she flashed her sweetest smile to me....

And thru the day, she really did behave well... that's the best Mother's Day gift ya... Well.. at least she did not make me blood boiled for the entire day... :P

Tis morning if Xr did not wake up for milk, i tink i would have slept till dunno what time...hehe... so when i woke up, she tell me she wants to have milk as i need to go and bath, i quickly tell her to get her daddy to make the milk for her cause i am late already... and i woke hubby up...
when i came out from toilet, she called me a few times when she is in the living room then later came into the room to find me... We had a short conversation..

*the conversation is as per what she say herself..so got a little broken English :P *
XR: Mummy... why have to go work?
Me: Mummy dun go work, then dun have money to buy things leh...
XR: Buy banana ah? *she say tis because whenever she wants to buy n i dun wanna let her eat, i will tell her i dun have $$*
Me: Ya... buy banana
XR: Daddy have $$, Xinru have $$ mah...
Me: hmmm mummy dun go work, cannot buy things nice nice clothing for you leh...
XR: *pointin to her top* Xinru got so many liao leh...
Me: *i was kind of stuck dunno what to say* hmmm if mummy dun go work, mummy cannot buy things for mummy also mah.. so mummy have to go to work lor... Then u wan mummy to work or dun wan mummy to work?
XR: i dun wan mummy to work...
Me: *smiling to her*

Then as we went to the living room, she keep saying 'Mummy dun wan go work'
That was the short conversation between me and her and when i left the house, she was crying for me... haizz

She has turned 27 months today, 8 May... She has really grown up...She knows how to show her love to me cause as and when we are together, she will tell me 'Mummy, i love you...' or 'i like Mummy'.. She knows the meaning... cause when she is angry with me, she will tell me she dun like me... :(

That day after hearing hubby and even her teacher says that she does not want to wear school uniform, one night i ask her 'Xinru, why u dun wan to wear school uniform to school?' and here's what she tell me
XR: Sarah mei mei also no wear mah...
Me: Sarah mei mei is baby mah..so no need to wear...
Then i ask her some of the bigger toddler in the school whether did they wear and she say yes and when i ask her abt her own class, she tell me they never wear so she also dun wan to wear... haizz tat came out from her mouth leh...

Then the next day, her teachers tell me that she did not wear her uniform again. Then when i reach home, i tell her that she has to wear to school and again she tell me 'Why mei mei no wear?' then again i tell her 'mei mei is in baby class and Xinru is in toddler class mah... so Xinru have to wear to school lor...' then she tell me 'okie and say Xinru is good girl..' hehe...
At times she really drive me nuts and at times she is just tat sensible... :)

We brought my mom aka Xinru's granny out for Mother's Day dinner in advance on 5th May as she were be working on the actual day...

Earlier tat day, mention to Xinru that we are going out later in the evening and after i bath her in the morning, she asked to wear the going out clothing.. so i told her that we are going out only in the evening and if she were to wear now, it will be crumbled and not nice already...

So after the bath, she wore her normal clothing.. and went for her nap...

When she wake up, she kept askin and tellin me to go gai gai.. but i told her tat Uncle is not here yet... hehe can see that she is waiting only.. haha

When the time comes to change her, she was so happy.... and i dressed her up in her Polo Rauph top and a pair of jeans. While me and hubby wore the Polo Rauph top...

Finally, Uncle Ken came and we headed to the Fortunate Restaurant located at Toa Payoh.
