Our Genting Trip 2009

I just realised that the last time when we brought Xinru to Genting was Nov 2007, also around this time of the year....



This time round, my dad booked the room for us so we did not book thru Grassland. We booked our coach tickets from Citi-Exchange at Kovan.. Their coach are not bad, quite spacious but the only thing that don't have is personal tv. Nevertheless, we brought along a portable DVD player to entertain Xinru. Surprising, we did not played the DVD player for long....



26 Nov 2009 (Thursday)


I woke Xinru up at 545am for milk.. She was fast awake cause the night before, before she slept, i told her that if she is not going to wake up at 1 call, then she can sleep at home with Granny.... and the night before the trip, she broke her record... She slept before 10pm... cool....


With just a 1 time call of 'Xinru, its time to wake up', she woke up.. but can see that she is feeling a bit draggy... After she woke up and drank her milk, i got her changed and packed those last minute stuff into our luggage and went downstairs.



We reached Kovan at around 7am, registered and waited for the bus. We decided to go for breakfast at the market.



We finally boarded the bus at 720am and the coach left on time at 730am. After the 2 drop point to clear customs, it was already 930am. Xinru felt asleep in the coach and within 1hr, she woke up. All the way to our 1st rest stop - Yong Peng. We have a 30mins break and we had a rush lunch and make our way to the coach and continue our journey.



As i was having headache, i changed seat with hubby so i can sleep better. An hour after i sleep, i work up and Xinru was sleeping. She slept another 1hr on the coach and when she woke up, we were about there. We finally reached Genting at 3pm.



We met dad after we alight and dad took the coach back to Singapore. We proceed to the hotel and went out for dinner. We had noodles at Hou Ming Cafe. After eating, we went back to the hotel to bath and rest. When we woke up, its about 6+,7pm... We went for dinner at the foodcourt. Xinru had soup with rice, hubby took fried kway teow while i had my western food. After the dinner, we went to purchased Indoor Theme Park ticket. We completed all the Indoor Theme Park Ride that Xinru can played which includes the Indoor Ferries Wheel, Car Ride, Merry Go Round, Rio Float, Reindeer Ride and Boat. It is already like 90% of the ride.. After that, we went back to hotel and rest for the day.



27 Nov 2009 (Friday)


Xinru woke up earlier than at home. She woke up around 645am and thank god there was children programme screening on the TV. I was half asleep and half awake while she watches the TV programme and entertain herself.. I got her to wake up daddy up at 8am. After washing up and everything, we went down for breakfast. We had Tim Sum while Xinru eat Wanton Noodles.. After which, our Theme Park adventures starts.....



After purchasing the Full Day Unlimited Theme Park ticket, our first destination was Kid's Bumper Car. Xinru got her first experience on the bumper car. She enjoyed herself but she did not want to go for 2nd round cause other kids bumped on her... keke..... Next, we went to Outdoor Theme Park where we covered Jumbo Ride, Aeroplane ride, Cowboy ride, Playground and Pirate Ride. We played some games at the stalls in the park and Xinru won a 7-8inch's panda soft toy. It was closed to 1pm already, so we make our way back for lunch at the foodcourt and went back to the hotel. Xinru took nap and woke up around 5+pm afterwhich we went for another round of Outdoor Theme Park to covered the balance of the ride which includes Outdoor Merry Go Round, Monorail, Outdoor Ferris Wheel, Ribena Cup and some other rides. We left the Theme Park around 7+ and had our dinner at Ah Yi Abalone Restaurant. After the dinner, we went back to hotel to bath and rest for the day....



28 Nov 2009 (Saturday)


It was the day to go back to Singapore. Xinru was ok with that but mentioned that she wants to come again.... In the morning she woke up early too and same thing happen like yesterday and we went for breakfast at MacDonalds and after that we proceed to the SnowWorld. It was a fun and cold place. Xinru was too small size and when she wore the big jacket over her, she looks like a penquin.. The way she walked around carefully and on the snow just make me laugh non-stop. A pity that we can't take pictures there.. Some pictures were taken by the people there and we purchased all the 3 pictures...



After the Snow World, we left and i brought Xinru to the arcade and played for 1hr and afterwhich i bring her to MacDonalds for some snacks. Hubby joined us shortly and we went back to the hotel to bath and pack our stuff. After everything was done, we went down again for lunch and return to take our stuff and went to take coach back to Singapore.



Once board the coach, Xinru fell asleep at 3pm and woke up at 545pm... It was raining when we were coming down.. We reached Yong Peng at 7+pm and had our dinner there and continued our journey. We finally reach the Malaysia Customs at 9pm and got cleared by 915pm. We reached Kovan at 10pm and went to MacDonalds to have some light snacks and proceed home....



Summary:


This trip is a great one, although it was not very cold there. The coldest temperature is about 15 degree celsius while the warmest is at 19 degree celsius. Xinru was well behaved and enjoyed the whole trip which is what i feel is the most important thing.

Belated Birthday Treat

Last Sunday brought Xinru out with me to AMK Hub for my birthday treat with the gals... It has been such a long time since all of us come out together.... This year is different from past few years cause we have Annie's little girl to join in the session... A pity that Aloysious and Amberlyn are not able to come...

We finally took a group photo and i found a old photo of us 12 years back.. keke After doing a comparison, we have all 'grown'... kekekeke



After the makan session, Ivy and Huiwen left for their stuff while the 3 mama went to Mac... I have promised Xinru earlier that once she has reach the 2nd mark on her behaviour chart, she will be awarded for being a good girl.. The reward this time round is ice cream... :)

Folding Paper Dog

The other day, we were having dinner and Xinru took a tissue that she is using to wipe her mouth and started to fold something... Initially, she told us she wants to fold a dog.. Hubby and me were kind of blur... Then after she folded, she told us where is the ear and the mouth... Its a very simple way of folding and when we asked her who teach her, she told us it was her chinese teacher...

The next day, i got her to fold using a piece of paper.. Afterwhich, she drew the eyebrow, eyes, mouth and wrote her name on the paper... keke The paper dog is so cute but simple...

Last nite, i got her to fold while i record it down... :)

Terrible Mummy

Oh Gosh... i just realised that this blog has not been updated for 6months......

So sorry about it... its just that i have been rather busy since then.... and whenever i knock from work, i will knock off from everything....

Anyway, just some quick update for the past few months...

* Baby Reanne, Roy and Weiqin's little princess stepped onto this beautiful earth on 3rd September 2009....

* Baby Shannon, Don and Serena's little princess also stepped onto this beautiful earth on 9th September 2009... this marked Xinru being promoted to 欣如表姐...

* Xinru has been doing fine and well in the childcare. She is currently taking Speech & Drama which i am not sure whether have i mentioned here before... If i have, please pardon me to repeat it... :P

* I would say that Xinru is keen to learn, reason being that whenever she is at home, she will take a pen/pencil and ask for paper and she will start to write and draw... The number of letters that she is able to write has increased and she has learnt to write numbers as well.... She is pretty smart i would say, a little bit of things that she has learnt, she will remembered it.... Sometimes it does surprises me and hubby.... her teachers commented that she has very sharp memory.... of course, her work and ability to do things has never let me worry... so i do hope that she will continue and maintain her standard... :)

* Xinru has been talking about what she want to be when she grows up. She started with saying that 'When i grow up, i want to be a teacher' and following up, one fine day, she tell me 'Mummy, i want to be a policewoman and not a teacher..' okie, i been through this stage and witness my sister and another god-sister's this stage, their ambition is never fixed... it will keep changing and changing... :)

* Since last year after our HK trip, i suggested to hubby that in a year, other than our 2 trips back to Penang, we would add one more either a nearby or a short trip out of Singapore.... Last year we went to HK, so this year we shall go to somewhere near and we are travelling to Genting on 26 to 28 Nov.... Although its a short and near trip, but i know that Xinru will enjoy herself.... She has been feeling excited on the trip. Just last night, i told her that next Wednesday, she will have to sleep early and wake up very early... She answer me 'Then mummy, i will be very tired...' I told her that she can sleep when she is on the coach... and she smile.....

* All along, Xinru never give me problem in the childcare.... At most, her teachers say that she is talkative and named her '小鸟' cause she always ji ji za za in the childcare... There was once she nearly shocked me with what she did in the childcare....

One day, hubby fetched Xinru back and tell me that her teacher says that she with another little boy, put some small dirty stuff into another little girl's water bottle and tell that girl that is chilli.... Her teacher caught her and punished her by standing by the wall.... She did not tell me about it... It was after that i tried to talk and understand what has happen then she started telling me... Since then, she stopped her notti act... But still, on and off she will be punished by standing at the wall because while watching tv, she walked around the class and talking when watching tv... And i realise that she must be very boring while there isn't any lessons, cause all these will appear when there is no on-going lesson.... :P

Hmm just too much to update... anyway, when my laptop return, i hope i can start to blog more frequent... :)
