As hubby got to work today, so there is no V-Day celebration for both of us... Hubby seldom buy flowers for me on this day... so its expected....

This morning before hubby goes to work, I wishes him Happy Valentine's Day... Hubby wish me back and gave me a kiss on my lips... Xinru was beside us and she smile.... the next thing she ask hubby is 'Daddy... how come you did not buy flowers for mummy?' Hubby was kind of stunned and he told her 'oh... the shop is not opened'... Xinru's reply was - Daddy got to buy flowers for mummy tonight hor... :P

Hey Hey... it's my time to do some blogging... Mummy has been doing it and since she keep telling me she is very tired lately... I shall help her a little... hehehe

Like what i just mention... My Mummy has been telling me everyday that ‘Mummy is so tired….. Can you ask Daddy to bath for you?’ I will also divert that to Daddy on behalf of Mummy.. At times, daddy will be nice and will let me be ‘Free & Easy’… but at times when he is also tired…. He will nag nag nag then my Mummy will drag herself to the toilet and ask ‘what happen???’ and daddy will ‘hai ya… you go and bath for her la….’ then my poor mummy will have to take over the job…

I also notice lately my mummy has mood swings… if I am a good girl.. She will let me do things tat I want to do… but when I tries to be funny with her… she will take out the ‘sword’… and she will scold me…

Well last night I got from her again…

I told mummy the previous night that I want to eat ice cream… Mummy told me that it is raining so I cannot get to eat…. Last night when mummy fetch me, I ask her again ‘Mummy, did you get something for me?’ mummy answered me ‘Hmmm we go back and eat dinner first then I bring you down to buy ice cream’ I asked why we cannot buy now and the answer mummy give me is ‘If now we buy, by the time we finish our dinner, it would have melt… ‘ Okie… explanation accepted…

After i finished my dinner, mummy brought me down to the provision shop to get my ice cream. Yippie... I was so happy... When we reached home, mummy let me ate the ice cream at the living room while she washes her dishes... And when she finished, she came to accompany me in the hall...

After the ice cream, for some reason, i started to be naughty and mummy got fed up and continue to sit there to watch her programme and at times she still make some giggle sound over the show while i am making fuss there... That's my mummy.... She can really tahan my cries.... After i stopped, i took a book for mom and ask mummy to read... then when mummy lifted up the flap, i told her i don't know when i actually know... and i started to make noise and mummy got fed up and walk to the room... She tell me 'when you are done with your noise, then you go and find me'. I followed her to the room while she lies down on bed to rest...

When i stopped, Mummy ask if i am ready for bath, if i am, ask me to take off my pants and panty outside the toilet.... While bathing, another tsumani happen... Mummy this time round got real heated up, went out to get the cane into the toilet and i cried even louder.... Sometimes when my mummy gots angry, she really behave like a 'siao cha boh' shouting her lungs off to me... At times i do get real upset and i know that mummy feels upset too... She just cannot control her emotion at times....

After the bath, i told mummy i want to put on pampers and mom did that for me. The next thing i told her was 'Mummy, i havent want to sleep' Mummy reply was 'If you put on your pampers mean you have to go to bed already'. I started to fuss again... Well mom don't bother about me and went to off the fan and television in the hall... I guess i have no choice then told mummy that i want to drink milk and after mom passed me the milk, she lied down on the bed and i think she fell asleep.. hahahaha

After i finished my milk, i went to mummy and told her that i want to sleep on her bed, she shifted to daddy's sleeping side and faced out and did not bother me... I knew she did peep at me... But since she is still angry with my naughty fuss-for-nothing behaviour, i better don't make any noise and slowly i drifted to sleep....

And i naughty??? hehehe i can be a very good girl like what i always tell mummy... that day, mummy asked me to keep the Elmo book in the studyroom for a few times... i did not keep and when mummy say 'its okie... if you don't want to keep, it shall be in the rubbish bin later...' This never fails to make me keep my things when i try to be funny... cause if my mummy says that, she will make sure she does that.... so cruel hor..... :P When i walk to the room, i turned and tell mummy cheekily 'Mummy, don't scold me hor... Xinru is a good girl... will listen to you one...' Mummy cannot resists what i say at times and she turned and smile to daddy.... hehe

One thing about my mummy... Mummy always tell me that 'If you behave well, mummy will get what you want for you.. but if you don't behave well, nothing to talk about' Mummy will also say 'What mummy has promise, mummy will do it'. Well, for that, i would say 'Mummy does keep her promise'

Tell you all something... lately when i saw little babies on the television, i will tell mummy 'Mummy... u see... baby so cute hor...' i think mummy and daddy can sense what i am hoping for and i know they are doing their best liao... hehehehe

Yesterday afternoon when mom called me, and told me what has happen in the morning... I could not help laughing over the conversation...especially when she called out my hubby for milk... Here's about the conversation...

Xinru woke up in the morning and open the door to go out of the room herself-

Xinru: 阿嬷,我的妈咪leh?

阿嬷: 妈咪去做工了..

Xinru: 她没有跟我说bye bye leh..

阿嬷: 妈咪要去做工怎么跟你说bye bye leh?

Xinru: 我要跟她说bye bye mah...

阿嬷: 不用紧啦..你要喝milk milk吗?

Xinru: 不要..

阿嬷: 你去叫爸爸起来阿嬷要出去了.

Xinru called out to hubby and hubby ask 'You hungry liao huh' and Xinru reply 'ha nah' *faint* and my mom told me that she turned to smile cheekily to my mom... :P

Last Evening after our dinner, we went back homei bath for her and told her to bath first cause i am very tired and want to bath after her... then she tell me 'later i bath then i drink milk milk then you go and bath la...' faint... at times she really like to teach me what to do... hahaha and the way she put it across is just so adult... hahaha

When i was bathing, i heard Xinru talking to her daddy... and after that Xinru told me that one of her classmate, Peng Yin go and dig 'gold' from her nose and put it on Xinru's hand... *yucks* and i ask Xinru whether did she go and disturb her?? She told me '没有..我在喝水,她就拿'pi sai' 给我' and i told her '谁叫你拿,她拿给你,你可以不要拿的吗' then she tell me again '没有.她放在我的手..then我去洗手lor...' whahahha...

Sometimes when we watch tv, she will ask me funny question... like last night, i was watching To the Zoo with Barney and she ask me 'Mummy... can i go near to the hippopotamus?' then i tell her 'can.... they have something to block there one... so its okie to go near...' and she ask again 'then how come crocodile cannot?' I told her again 'can... they will have a thing that block the crocodile so it cannot bite you lor...' and she ask again 'Hippopotamus will bite me?' I told her 'no... it would not...' she answer me 'but crocodile and hipopotamus open the mouth like tat.... how come crocodile will bite and hippopotamus would not leh?' then i finally tell her 'Crocodile will eat people and hippopotamus will not eat people lor...' and she finally give me a 'orh'.....

Halfway thru the show, i will also close my eyes to rest so that if she see me closing me eyes, she will not disturb me.... Last night instead of not disturbing me, she tell me '你没有陪我的' then i tell her 'i am very tired... i want to sleep.... You go ahead and watch and if you are tired, you just sleep lor...' then on and off she turned to me again and say '你没有陪我的'.... she is a very cheeky who tries to make you irritated then give you the cheeky smile.... haizz what to do... tat's my girl........... :P

Suddenly th0ught of what Xinru say last nite which makes me feel like laughing...... :P

A few times we saw a 'ang moh' toddler going to and fro from her childcare centre... and a few times hubby told me that there is an 'ang moh' baby in her CC...

Last night, when i pick Xinru and so happen the 'ang moh' baby's mother came to pick the child and Xinru was so excited and tell me 'There mummy... the ang moh baby... there the ang moh baby' i was like 'okok....shhhhh' it's kind of like embarrassing lor........... and the expressions that she has on her face.... makes me feel so funny..... :P

Xinru is 3!!!!!

My dearie princess has officially turned 3 years old last Sunday, 8 Feb 2009. People always say when you are the one taking care of the child, time just seems so slow... I am not sure whether i am consider the one who takes care of the child, but time seems to pass soooooo fast.... in a blink of eyes, she is 3 and in another few more years, she is going to school.... Woooooooo

Before we left for our Lunar New Year trip, arrangement for the buffet was made and things were like kind of settled... so it's only awaiting of the day.... :)

Sunday morning, she woke up being cranky... GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPEN!!!! anyway, spread some 'buttering' on her and she turns better.... THIS IS CALLED '皮痒'... whahahah

When we were out at the living room, i saw this bird sitting on the window latch... i was so curious and excited about it and snap a photo.. haha

It just sat there quietly... i thought it has an injured leg or what which makes it can't fly... So i teased Xinru that the bird is here to wish her Happy Birthday... then she stands near the window and look at the bird... And funny thing, the bird did some loud chripping sound and flew off.... hehe again i told Xinru that the bird say Happy Birthday to you then flew off... Xinru has somehow inherit my 'siao-ness'.. when she tells me that the bird has flew away, i ask her if the bird say bye bye to you? She tell me '没有leh,它没有礼貌hor...' haha me and my mom broke out laughing... :P

My sis came over around 1030am with the balloons... well i am scare of balloons so.... the blowing and putting up of the balloon will be left for my hubby and sis to do it... haha... After putting up the balloons, got the dinning table shifted and did up a simple decoration... and shortly, the buffet arrives...

After the things were done, i went to bath and after that got Xinru to bath and changed. Shortly, Issac arrive, my brother and sister in law came and following by Alex, Lynn, Ah Heng, 大姨,姨丈... While waiting for the guest to arrive, Xinru kept asking me 'How come no birthday party one?' hahaha she is getting anxious over the birthday cake... and the little friends....

After most of the guest arrived, i played some games with the little friends and they have won some stickers and presents.... Hmm although the game wasn't that great but at least it kept the kids entertained for a while.

After all the guest arrived, its time for the cake cutting.... Brother has earlier on went to pick up the Carebear cake from Prima Deli at Compass Point and kept them in the fridge.

We sang the birthday song for the birthday girl and cut the cake for the guest. After the eating of the cakes, the guest gradually left me house and left my cousins, aunty and uncle... haha it seems like from a birthday party, it has turned to a New Year gathering.... Poker cards and gambling starts.... :P

Around 5+ in the afternoon, Xinru starts to have the sleepy face... hehe i do not dare to let her sleep or else, she will sleep till those late evening time and end up i got to sleep late also.... Alex and Lynn has been a great accompany to Xinru for that day... Kept her entertain and play with her thru the day... BIG THANKS!!!!

Everything came to an end around 8+ at night and shortly after her bath and milk, she felt asleep in less than 5 minutes... See how tired she is... hehe...

Thanks to all the aunties, uncles of Xinru who gave her nice presents and ang paos.... :)

Hubby and me were on leave to celebrate in advance Xinru's 3rd birthday in the childcare centre. In the morning after bringing her to the childcare, we went for breakfast and went back home to wait for the man to deliver the Carebear agar agar. This time round, we skipped the traditonal birthday cake to agar agar... :)

The agar agar cake finally reached my house at 1015am and we went to the centre straight. Xinru was happy to see us of course.... The celebration went on smooth and the kids enjoyed...

Xinru's Lunar Birthday

Today is Xinru Lunar birthday... Happy Lunar Birthday Sweetie.... Xinru shared the same date of birth as my online buddy Stella's elder son, Ethan... Also wish him Happy Lunar Birthday and may the 2 of them grow up in good health and great wisdom... :)

As i did not have time to cook 'mee sua' for Xinru, i promise to bring her out to eat instead. Today hubby got lesson so after work, i went to fetch her and brought her to Koufu. She has got a habit that when she is halfway thru her meal, she will surely want to go to the toilet to pee... I was alone with her so i bought her to the toilet first before we had our meal. While walking to the toilet, she told me that she wants to buy bubble cause she do not have the yellow colour bottle one.... So well, see if she behave herself and she gets her reward. I told her that after the dinner, i will bring her to get one..... :)

She sat on the highchair waiting for me while i order the food and when i came back, we ate together. She finished up her 'mee sua' and after that i ask if she wants to eat ice cream... Her reply to me was 'want' then i told her that 'okie, later on our way back home, we shall get one and eat at home.' She was happy.... :)

After the dinner, i carried her down the highchair and thought she has forgetten about the bubble thingy.. so thought can act blur about it. Who knows she turned to me and say 'Mummy, lets go and buy bubble' well i have promised her... and since she did behave well, shall get her one....

After the bubble, we went to take the koufu shuttle bus back home and on the way to the bus, she asked me 'Mummy, why we cannot buy the ice cream here?' i told her that 'here don't sell...' she replied me 'got....' she is referring to the ice cream shop opposite the supermarket... then i told her that we shall get it at the shop downstairs else the ice cream would have melted.

We took the bus, when we reached, got her the ice cream and went back home to eat.... I did not let her have the whole cup, i scooped up half the ice cream from the cup and pass her the balance.... She enjoyed her ice cream and i promise her that if she behave, occasionally i will buy for her to eat.... :)

Xinru's mummy too tired

Yesterday went to office feeling unwell but hope to bear with it till at least Thursday so can have a long weekend and also prepare the birthday bash stuff. Who know, i got real pale and have to go over and see the doctor and went back home to rest. From 1plus in the afternoon, i slept till almost 6pm. i think i have not been having enough rest since the day we left for Penang till now... and my body could not take it so felt unwell.....

Went to pick Xinru and wait for daddy at LRT station. During the dinner, Xinru wants to go to the toilet and did not want to wear her shoe so i told her that 'Mummy is not feeling well, so don't have strength to carry you...' She wore her shoe and i brought her to the toilet. In the toilet, Xinru asked me 'Mummy.. what happen to you? sick ah...' Then i told her 'Ya.. mummy is not feeling well, so not much strength to carry you..so you got to walk yourself and cannot ask mummy to carry you okie....' Then she nodded and ask if i got see doctor and ask me where i am not feeling well... her concern makes me so much better.... :)

When we finish our dinner, we got Xinru to get to pass the money to the aunty. Daddy as usual, gave her the loose change and keep the notes. When we are about to leave, Xinru says she wants to get the bubble that she saw before we went to eat. I told her 'if you want to buy, can... but you have to use the coins that daddy gave you just now. If it's enough, you can buy.. but if it's not enough, you can't get anymore money from daddy already.' Deal and we went to the shop. Xinru tells the aunty what she wants and when she wanted to get 2, the aunty tells her 'Your money is only enough for 1... so you can only choose one...' Xinru got a bit sad and turned to ask for more money. I reminded her of what we said just now, and she choose one and we went back home.

This morning, was not feeling very well still so i took another day of mc and felt asleep on the sofa. When Xinru woke up and came out, she ask me 'Mummy, why you sleep outside and did not go to work?' I told her that i am still not feeling well... and she ask me 'you going to see doctor? Going where to see doctor? office one ah?' then i told her 'no... mummy going to rest at home today...' then she say 'orh...' then she tell me 'Xinru want mummy to bring Xinru to school' and i told her that 'mummy want to rest leh...' then she sai nai a while and i tell her i will bring her go la.... and she happily get ready to go to school.... :)

Penang Day 6 - 27 Jan 2009

Today is the last day at Penang and it's time to say Bye Bye to Penang... As usual, we went down for breakfast after waking up and when we return back to hotel, got Xinru to bath and get ready to check out.

After checking out, we left our luggage at the lobby and went over to mother in law’s place. Before we left the hotel, i realised that my rings were left in the room when i saw Xinru touching the ashray on the table and got hubby to take back the keys from the reception. Phew... in a way, thanks to Xinru who reminds me....

We took some photos there and bid farewell to our family and went to the airport with my younger brother in law and his fiancée. When we are about to leave the house, my mother in law looks kind of sad... And i told my brother in law that most pro we will be coming over latest by August.

We reached the airport, checked in our luggage and had a drink at the Coffee Bean before going into the departure hall. After the drink, we went into the gate and bid them goodbye and went to wait to board the flight.

The flight was delayed at Penang and by the time we reach KL, it was around 420pm. We are supposed to check in to the flight back to Singapore at that time but thank god the flight was delayed too. We thought after the landing and collection of baggage, we should be in time for the next flight but who knows, the luggage was delayed. We waited for about 30mins just for the luggage. And end up, we only checked in at 445pm where the gate for departure was closed. But after talking to the people there, we managed to do a last minute check in. Phew and finally reached Singapore at 630pm.

My sis and cousin came to picked us at the airport and send us back home to put our luggage as i did not bring the red packets for my cousin. When we reached home, left the luggage took the things and went over to my 3rd uncle’s house. They were of course happy to see us... and of course with Xinru using hokkien 'Kiong hee huat zai' and 'sim teh kian kong' with and add on 'Huat ah' to 'pai nian' with them they are more than happier... and infact this 3 sets of new year greetings won all their hearts... hahaha

We left uncle’s house around 10plus and went back home to rest.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! GONG XI FA CAI!!

After our breakfast, we returned to the hotel room to bath and went over to my mother in law’s place. Xinru was dressed in the Japanese Dress which Lena bought for her. My mother in law and brother in law were all praising her that she looks very pretty...

Every year after my mother in law’s place, the first station is my father in law’s sister. They were happy to see us and we stayed there for about 45mins and went to the next station which is my mother in law’s sister place, HQ for mother in law’s side.... We were the first to reach this year, and shortly hubby’s other aunties and cousins came over. Xinru’s aunties and grand aunties commented Xinru is getting prettier as she gets older....

After the 2 HQ, we went back to the hotel and rest. After resting, we go back to mother in law’s place again for dinner. And after the dinner, we went back to the hotel and i started packing the stuff for the next day departure...

Penang Day 4 - 25 Jan 2009

Early in the morning after our breakfast, we went over to mother in law’s house. When we reached, my sister in law’s god-brother’s family and her sister are there. There are a few kids around. Xinru did not really mingle with the kids but played with her stuff. There was a little baby boy who is less than 1 year old. He fell asleep on the sofa and when he woke up, i carried him and play with him and the next thing is... he smile at me and pee on me...... shortly he POO on me too!!! Haha i hurried get hubby to carry the baby and so happen the baby’s mother came in and carried over the baby. I told my brother in law that i am going to strike 4D when i go back to Singapore... hehehe

After they left, we also return back to the hotel with William and Henry. I have asked them over so that i can bring them for a swim at the hotel. The 2 kids are so happy and i would say this time round when we go over to Penang, the relationship between the kids and me have improved. We can communicate better and they also listened to what i say. William was cute. After we told him about our Hong Kong Trip, he says 'You all not good, did not bring me along...' then i told him 'you want to go with us? Sure, you start saving money and next year if we are going, we will bring you along.' And he smile and say 'ok' then turned to his mother and say 'How much have i got now? or can you lend me 3K(referring to RM)' then i told him that once he has save that amount,just give me a call and he ask me 'you sure a not.. don't later bluff me' and i tell him 'sure... i am your aunty, why would i lie to you?' hehe

After the swim, hubby brought the 2 kids back to mother in law’s place so that Xinru can take her nap. When she woke up, it was already 7+ in the evening when my mom called and told me that i have strike 4D!! Hahaha what a nice thing that happen during Chinese New Year.... I prepared a red packet for the little boy and passed to me sister in law when we went over. My elder brother in law and his family has went over to sister in law’s granny place so left only the 3 of us with my mother in law and my younger brother in law with his fiancée. Around 11plus, my brother in law and his family came back to prepare for the praying stuff. We finally went back to the hotel around 1plus and got Xinru to sleep....

Xinru woke up at 615am making a fuss as she is hungry which makes me kind of IRRITATED!! Hahaha and after she got her milk, the next thing she asked for is “Mummy, i wan teletubbies”. I on the show and leave her to watch on our bed and shortly, i did not hear any noise from her and took a peek on her and realised she has fallen asleep.. Phew.. or else i am going to wake up also already.

Finally we all woke up around 9am and washed up then went down for breakfast. Xinru has her usual stuff and somehow she don’t really like it though. Well, its ok lor...

After the breakfast, we went back to hotel while i bath and went over to my mother in law’s place again. The kiddo has left for the nanny place so only my mother in law was in... We stayed there for about an hour plus to 2 before going for lunch at the coffeeshop along the road. Well, we also patronise the shop whenever we are back here...

I ordered a plate of fried chicken with steam rice while hubby took his hokkien mee and Xinru shared with hubby and finished up a bowl. After eating, went back to hotel and get Xinru to bathe and time for nap!!! So tiring although woke up late today.

Brother in law brought us to Batu Ferrengi for dinner... Wow.. the place was cool... Along the road, you can see all the ang mohs walking around and there are a stretch of restaurant and hawker which sells nice foods... The area is kind of tourists spot.... Along the road also has stalls selling imitation branded goods and souvenirs and selling toys... The toys that caught Xinru’s attention is the BUBBLE... i would say the bubble look real fun... We went to the hawker and had our dinner, we ordered satay, hokkien mee, fried fish, ‘hao jian’ and had a wonderful dinner with my elder brother in law and his 2 sons, younger brother in law with his fiancée. After the dinner, we got Xinru her bubble and went back to the hotel.

It was another tired day and all of us knock off for the day...

Little Xinru

Xinru has been such a funny yet mischievous girl at home.... She knows how to escape from scolding with the silly funny face and laughter.... sometimes at home without her can be bored.... but sometimes i wished i could be at home when she is in school... :P

She is just like a little mother at home... reminding me of things and behaving and talking like an adult.... the words that she used just sound so funny coming out from a coming to 3 years old girl... When we have dinner together, she will tell me what has happen in the school and who is celebrating their birthday in the school.

Last weekend, her teacher gave us a note to ask the parents to bring some family outing photos and 2 buttons to the school. I remembered the photos but forget the buttons. Last night when we were watching television and Xinru suddenly ask 'Mummy, tomorrow have to go school?' then i nodded my head and tell her 'yes' the next thing she tell me was 'Teacher Angelina asked mummy to remember to bring buttons to school... she wan to sew on the paper' oops... i forget all about it... hehe... I apologise to her and tell her that i will remember to put inside her bag.... :P
