My girl has grown up!

During the period of time when i was in the hospital and eventually discharged, i realised my little girl has become more independent and even more sensible....

As there was a need to stay in the hospital for more than 1 night, my mom has to take over my task at home while hubby is in the hospital with me...

On the first night in the hospital, the first call that my mom called me, Xinru was happily playing around my mom... She asked who was on the phone with my mom and my mom passed the phone to her.... I though my tears will start to accumlate in my eyes but i did not... *think because i am just to tired for that* She talk to me a while on the phone and she carried on doing her things....

Shortly, my house number appear on my mobile again... It was around 10+, i knew it got to be Xinru..... Xinru says: "Mummy, Xinru cry" i asked her: 'What happen?' She replied: 'Xinru want to find Mummy...' i eventually managed to coax her and hang up the call and around 11+, my house number appeared again.... This time round was my hubby who called.... He told me that Xinru wants to find me... I told her to go to bed cause it is already very late and ask her to be good.... She listened and hang up the call...

The next night, everything was ok.... Mom mentioned to me that Xinru did asked about me but when my mom told her that i am still in the hospital, she understand and did not disturb me....

3rd day morning, my mom called me... Xinru asked to talk to me and she asked me where i am and i asked her if she want to come and find me.... She say yes immediately and i ask her to tell my mom. The intention of bringing her to see me was already decided the day before.... Around 11+ in the morning, Xinru called and my mom ask her to tell me that they are on the way to the hospital and shortly i saw them....

When Xinru saw me, she was so happy.... she immediately called out repeatly 'Mummy' then want to get up to the bed.... She removed her shoe and when my mom tell her to be careful of my tummy, Xinru say: 'Mummy, got baby ah... Xinru see pain pain' We broke out laughing... The moment i hug her, my tears flowed..... i missed her badly..... :P Suddenly when i see her after 2 days, i felt she like grew up a lot.. haha....

As they came in the afternoon and i can only be discharge in the evening, Mom and bro brought Xinru back home for nap while hubby is there with me.

When i reached home, Xinru welcomed me back with big beautiful smile and kept calling me.... My mom told her that my wound is still painful and she has to avoid touching my tummy and i cannot carry her.... and she managed to do that.... When she is near to me, she will keep a distance away but at times she will '撒娇' then will like pester me to carry but after a while she will remember again that i cannot carry her... As and when she will asked to see my wound which is still covered with plaster..

Xinru is cute... everyday when hubby bring her home from school, once she saw me, she will keep repeating call me then the next thing she will say is 'Mummy, see pain pain' then i will show her my wound... There was one day when i removed my plaster, and when she saw there was no more plaster, she was so excited and say 'Yeah, Mummy can bring Xinru to school already' haha i was surprised to hear that though... then i told her that 'Mummy will only bring you to school starting on Monday' and she is ok with it.. and the rest of the days for that week, she did not ask me to bring her to school...

Monday came and in the morning Xinru asked if i am bringing her to the school and when i tell her YES, she tell me 'Xinru happy.... Mummy bring Xinru to school...' hehe Silly girl rite... then on the way to school, she kept smiling and calling me again..haha..

For updates on my stay in hospital, i will have to update as and when... hehe cause it's going to be a long one... :)

Lantern Festival 2008

Xinru's childcare centre informed us to participate Lantern Making with the kids. The condition of the contest is to make a lantern with the kids and not for them and after the submission, the kid if suppose to 'D0 and tell' the teachers and the other kids the process in making the lantern... The parents are suppose to do a voting for which level but not supposed to vote for their own child.

After i saw the note from the teachers, i cracked my head... Cause the lantern that we are making have to be something that Xinru can hands on with so when the teachers asked her about the making of the lantern, she knows how to answer.... Finally, i decided to make the lantern using the plastic egg tray and lucky i got help from my colleagues and managed to get 3 egg trays.. hehe....

I started thinking of how the lantern should look like and try to see if it looks presentable and Xinru will do the decoration job. I cut out the shapes of love and stars, got them all together and do the lantern with Xinru over the weekend before 2 Sept.

I showed Xinru what i did and tell her and she took great interest also.. hehe After i complete with the shape of the lantern, i pasted the double sided taped on the shapes that she is suppose to paste on the egg tray and she will remove the tape and pasted it onto the tray... Of course, the some of the shapes will paste out of shape..hehe...

i did not know the results till Xinru came back and show me the cookies that she has with the above result slip attached on it... :) Oh well, i was happy cause she won a prize right..hehe....

This year's Lantern is not much of special cause we did not bring Xinru to Chinese Garden as i need to rest at home after the operation... Nevertheless, i asked my brother and sis to come over and bring her down to have some Lantern Festival mood and i am glad that Xinru did enjoyed herself... Xinru insisted in bringing the lantern that we made so she asked my brother to hold the Hello Kitty one and my sis to hold the Barney one..hahaha...

Almost every year her lantern were all bought by my mom and my sis. This year, Xinru requested for a Hello Kitty one and my mom bought one for her and my sis bought her a Barney one...

Sand Playing..

In the new Housing Estate that we are staying at, we can hardly see any playground that has sand... And my little Xinru enjoys playing sand so it is kind of hard to bring her cause we have to go all the way to Pasir Ris Park.... Finally i discovered a place near my house that has playground with sand... hehe Few weeks back, i am supposed to bring her there to play but it started to rain when we are waiting for the bus to come... She was disappointed of course....


Finally, on Sunday the skys look great... It looks a little gloomy and has wind... but there was no rain... So after Xinru woke up from her 3hrs sleep, we took our lunch and we set off to the playground... The place was like in the middle of taking bus and walking... Meaning to say, if we were to take bus, it will be 2 bus stop... and if walk, it takes about 15mins... We choose to walk there since it was cooling.... :)

On our way here, we have to bypass a big field where hubby spotted a big bird..hehe This kind of bird is normally seen at Bird Park.. hehe... was kind of surprise when we saw it and Xinru tell me 'Mummy.. take photo....'

Finally we reached the playground.... It was located at the junction near to our house and surrounding was some bungalow...

Xinru was happy cause there is sand for her to play... She played with her daddy and then play a while at the playground then play with the sand again... After playing the sand, we went over to the swing area... and shortly we went back home... On our way home, we saw the bird again...

Xinru's 小姨姨 21st Birthday!!

Last Saturday was my sis, Xinru's 小姨姨 21st birthday....


Saturday morning as usual, Xinru goes to the CC so that the part time cleaner has does her work while i went to salon for my hair. After hubby bring her back from CC, she took her milk and there we set off to Downtown East.... My mom took my sis car and Xinru, me and hubby took bro's car and we went to top up petrol and we went to the chalet...


When we reach there, Xinru was excited... hehe i was also excited too..hehe been such a long time since i go to chalet..haha.... Xinru was asking to go for swimming pool the moment we step there. After we put our things, we went for lunch and went to E-Hub... It was a new shopping mall and there was a big ferris wheel. We went to take the ride while waiting for my sis and mom to buy the stuff.


Xinru was excited when she was in the Ferris Wheel.. kept asking how come the it did not move... She definably enjoyed the ride... :) Even while q-ing she was so anxious and wanting to go up...


After the ride, we went back to the chalet... When we reached the entrance of the chalet, as usual, there are 2 rides at the square.. One was the Merry-Go-Round and one was the fanciful car track. Well, Xinru never failed to put her butt on both the ride... When she saw the rides, her first reaction was to RUN.... she run like no one was around and there was a couple who was infront of her tried to move away when she ran toward them and the guy quickly turned and tell his girlfriend 'u see that little girl so cute..she so anxious to get to the ride and ran so fast...' hehe i was just beside the couple.. and i cannot help laughing... but i think they did not notice me looking at them..hehe....

Hubby went to purchase the tickets for the 2 rides. Actually asked hubby to buy only one.. but he brought 2... so just go with it lor... :) I managed to catch Xinru cause she was trying to get into the gate when the ride has yet to stop... and she fuss and cried there... and later when the ride has stop, she hopped into the ride happily...

After the ride, she again want to rush to the Merry Go Round but as the ride has yet to stop, she fuss again... Of course, she got scolded by me.... and finally when it's her turn for the ride, her face is filled with smiles again...After she has her ride, we went back to the chalet and she started her pleading on going swimming... faint... she just cannot stay there..... hehe.... Well well... changed her to her swimming costume and she gets excited again... When she gets to the pool, she was so happy and excited... She splashed water and flap her arms and kick her leg in the float.. she laughed out loud when hubby plays with her.. and when hubby wants to go over to the adult pool for swim, i have to go down to the water..hehe....

Before i go down to the pool, i ask my cousin to help bring my camera over... Alex came with the camera and Xinru tell him 'Uncle Alex... take off your 衣服and join Xinru leh..' haha but he din bring his swimming trunk so he rejected the offer...

After abt 30mins, i coaxed Xinru to go back to the chalet and finally after a while then she is willing to go back...

After i bath for Xinru, i bath then gave Xinru some fried rice with filet... She ate a lot that night due to swimming..hehehe.... and we are ready for the cake cutting ceremony...

A long Weekend

Last weekend was a long weekend for Xinru and me as last Saturday her teachers were off for retreat and Monday was Teacher's Day... Here's what we did during the last weekend.

Saturday~30 August 2008

Morning after the domestic cleaner came over my place, me and hubby, together with my mom and Xinru went for breakfast at my 2nd/3rd uncle stall at Lorong Ah Soo. My uncles and aunties were happy to see Xinru of course..hehe Xinru created some happy times for them and we left there around 11+ to go back home.

While i am with Xinru, puttin her to sleep, i told her that i will be going to make my hair and when she wake up, daddy will bring her to find me. When she falls asleep, i went out. When i was about done, hubby called and tell me that they have reached Compass Point which means that Xinru slept about 1hr only. My mom call and tell me that when Xinru woke up, she went to the living room while daddy is sleeping and sat on the sofa looking down to the playground.. Sounds so poor girl and when my mom ask her 'where's mummy?' Xinru tell her that 'Mummy 去弄头发' then my mom ask her who tell her and she tell her 'Daddy' and shortly hubby bring her out to look for me...

After i am done, we went to eat and went to Best Denki to buy a mircowave so that i can used it when i am at home after discharge... After that, we went to order my sis's cake and went home.

When we reach home, i got Xinru to drink milk and put her to sleep again, tat was about 4+ already. At 6+ she woke up, and i felt her feverish and that night, she had her fever... She must have caught a cold cause morning when we went out, a while it's like going to rain and a while it's sunny... My Poor Girl is sick.... that night, i din sleep well again...

Sunday~31 August

Hubby knew that i did not sleep well due to monitoring of Xinru so morning when Xinru wakes up, hubby automatically wake up and look after her while i continued my sleep till 9+.. Thanks hubby!!! *oh well, my hubby does not really does that though...* :P

When i finally wake up, Xinru is still feverish and thru the day she is active but felt feverish.. so the day was spent at home...

Monday~1 September ~ Happy Teacher's Day!

A few of my forum friends with me actually plan to meet up and due to Xinru was not well for the past 2 days, i told them that i could not make it and with another friend who just came back from her holiday was havin aching, the gathering was cancelled. Hmmm sob sob.. :P

Xinru was bugging me to bring her out and since she is better already, i tot of bringin her to my office as my colleagues kind of miss her..hehe and after that bring her to 四马路,观音庙cause since Xinru from birth till now, she have not went there to pray at all...

After i bath her, i change and bath while she plays in the living room and after i am done, we went to have our breakfast at Koufu and took the Express Bus down to ORchard...

We had some fun and entertainin Xinru at the office then went to Mac for some bite and after that i brought Xinru down to Bugis.

After we pray, i brought her to OG to buy the bubble gun as ours was spolit due to the screws was rusty and cannot close the cover of the battery...

After that, we went to take bus and instead of changing bus, we took a cab cause Xinru has fallen asleep while in the cab.

When we reached home, Xinru has her milk and continued her sleep... :)
