Updates

Nowadays i realised that Xinru only has my words in her mind... Hmmm meaning like when i said something, and later someone trys to talk to her, she will use my words instead... in chinese i mean '妈咪说了算'... haha like previous night, while i was bathing, i not sure what my mom told Xinru and Xinru tell her not like that or something.. then when i came out, my mom ask her to ask me.. then my answer is what my mom told Xinru then Xinru agrees..hehehe then my mom ask her in chinese 'Ah mah say not correct la... mummy say everything also correct la...' and Xinru nods her head..hehehe

Xinru seems to improved her Chinese lately... She has been talking in Chinese more frequent and fluent... Last time in a sentence, she can mix both the language but now she can fully use one sentence using Chinese... :)

She is more appreciative to me nowadays and will get her daddy to be appreciative to me too..hahaha This was what happen on Tuesday night....
As hubby did not attending lesson, so he went to pack food at Compass Point while i pick Xinru... After picking Xinru i bought her to the playground to play a while and after that we went back home. So happen that we met hubby when we are going up so went up together... I prepare the dinner, get hubby to wash Xinru's hand and we sat at the diner table together to eat. Then Xinru turn to me and say '大家一起吃,请吃.谢谢妈咪cook rice 给 Xinru吃' hehe this is not the first time she say this to me.. The other time when i cook porridge for her she said that too but she say porridge instead of rice... After saying that, she turn to her daddy and say 'Daddy, you didn't say thank you to mummy leh...' then hubby look at Xinru and say 'thank you' then Xinru tell him 'No... not to Xinru... to mummy.... Xinru didn't cook rice... Xinru only go playground to play...' Hubby and i broke out laughing...hehehe

Last Saturday we went to Ryan, Xinru's nephew 1st birthday so i told the teachers not to let her sleep around 11plus as i will want to bring her home for nap and that night we can go out... This morning, i happen to bump into Xinru's teacher who was in the centre on Saturday. She told me that last Saturday she was at the centre and she asked Xinru to nap and Xinru told me that 'Daddy say don't sleep....Mummy wan to bring Xinru gai gai' then her teacher say again 'Daddy say don't sleep but your mattress cover is here... so must sleep...' then Xinru tell the teacher again that 'no... later daddy angry... daddy say cannot sleep...' i was laughing when the teacher told me that... hehehe...

Overall, Xinru is really a funny girl to me... hehe She is someone who is very happy, lively and just so sensible... but at times she is kind of '无理取闹' Like that day, when we were having dinner outside, she just open her mouth and tell me 'Mummy, 我要弟弟妹妹.' i was like stunned and i tell her to tell her daddy.. and she repeat the same thing to hubby and she started to cry for it.. i tried to explain to her that not u say wan then will have kind of logic... appareately she accept what i say but few days later.. she asked for it again.... *Faint*

I also realised something about Xinru...

1. She is very clingy to me..
Everytime before i goes to bath, i will tell her and make sure she don't start to be naughty and later came to the bathroom and knock my door crying... but lately after tellin her that, half way thru my bath, she will sure come knocking at the door complaining about something... and no one can coax her to be quiet... She will stop only when she see me appearing in front of her... haizzz
Whenever she falls or anything that make her cry... even if i scold her and she cries, no one will be able to stop her cry... she will keep crying till she comes to my hug.. and she will smile again...
I was thinking in such a situation, how am i going to put my heart down to go for my operation next month..... haizzz

2. Will complain a lot of things to me....
When hubby touched her head, she will shout to me 'Mummy.... u see daddy.....' and when i reply what happen, then she say 'daddy lor.... disturb me...' There was one night when she was in the room with me and she act sleepy... and i see the way she does that is so funny and so happen my mom was outside the room's door then i tell my mom to see her action then my mom played with her and say 'U wan to sleep liao huh... come come... lie down..' and my mom like put her down to the bed... then the next thing she do is, she lie down on the bed and turned to me and say 'Mummy... u see... ah mah pushed Xinru...' hahaha...

Everyone says that baby girl will tend to loved daddy more than mummy.. but i don't feel this way... I feel Xinru loved me more than anyone..hehehe.... It could be that her daddy do not always communicate with her and don't show his love out to her but when comes to giving in to her... Daddy's always Number 1... hehe
Like last night, she suddenly turn to me when i am with her sleeping. She ask me 'Mummy, u love Xinru?' i looked at her eyes and tell her 'Of course mummy love Xinru... Xinru is my baobei...' then she tell me 'Xinru love mummy also...' Then i told her that 'other than Xinru mummy also love...' then she say 'daddy...' then i tell her yes and i told her there is one more person... then she say 'Ah mah' haha.... :)

Jurong Bird Park

In lieu of National Day which falls on a Saturday, it was a off day for the teachers in the Child Care Centre and also a day off for me cause i have to take care of Xinru myself... and as hubby was on duty on National Day night, Monday was a off day for him... So we decided to bring Xinru to the Jurong Bird Park....

It was her first trip there.... and of course prior to the trip i have told her about our intention and she keep telling us she wants to go Bird park....

She woke up around 730am and after an hour later, i got her to bath and changed her then i bath and change... I initially dressed her in a sleeveless top and a jean cause i am afraid that she will get mostiquo bites but i brought a cardigan out for her cause we are taking train and the journey is going to be far...

She complained that the top kept dropping down from her shoulder cause i think the top is still a little big on her... What to do... it's her age size but yet still cannot fit nicely.... haha... So change her to a short and a short sleeve top....

After Xinru and me is done, we waited for our 'Slow Slow Daddy'... Slow in waking up and slow in changing... haizz..... Finally after hubby is done, we went for our breakfast at the foodcourt and took NEL down to Outram Park to change to the train down to Boon Lay...

The journey took us about 1 hour and thru the 1 hour.. it was boring...and lucky Xinru was co-operative... Phew.....Finally!!! We reach Jurong Bird Park!!! It has been more then 20 years that i last stepped there.... :P

After entering the Park, we first went to see the Penguin... Xinru was kind of scare when we asked her to stand at the platform at the glass where we can see the penguin swim... so hubby got to carry her....

After that, we went to see the Parrot and we continued to walk around in the park... We see all kind of bird... :)

Xinru has been talking about Flamingo since she saw the Barney - 'To the Zoo' VCD and finally for the first time, she is able to see them 'live'...

We walked along the road to the Waterfall area.... and we went to see the Big Waterfall which is a place at Jurong Bird park where we should not missed.... :)

After the waterfall, we have a short break at the Waterfall Station of the Panaroil. Xinru got her cake while hubby and me got some water when it started to rain... Luckily we have covered most of the important birds... heheh so we took the paranoil to the main station. The lady was kind enough to let us have a hop on FOC till the main station for us to purchase a full ticket of the ride... :)

After one round of the ride, we went to see Penguin again... Cause it was the coolest place in the whole Jurong Bird Park... This time round, Xinru is not scare... she stands and walk at the platform and watch the preguin swims and play.... It's just so enjoyable to see her enjoying herself.... :)

We left the Bird Park to Jurong Point for our lunch.... We ate in Soup Restuarant as Xinru loves soup and true enough, she only take soup... Faint...... After the lunch, we went to Kiddy Palace and her daddy got her a new toy - A combination of Washing Machine and Iron... She was so happy....

We finally reached home around 5pm and she is still not tired... No choice, got to get her to nap a while else, if she wants to sleep around later in the evening, i would not be able to sleep early to prepare for the work next day... :)

Happy National Day 2008

I always love 9 August cause it's our nation's birthday.... This year i have a very special bonded feeling with Singapore... Don't ask me why... it's a kind of feeling.... :)

As it was a Saturday, the part time cleaner have to come to our place so i decided to go further away for breakfast.... Guess where is the further?? Whahahaha.... It's Rivervale Plaza... well although not that far... but we took bus..so should consider far rite... :P

When we reached Rivervale Plaza, it was packed with lots of people at the foodcourt... But we managed to find a place to sit... Mom help to order food for me and Xinru while hubby order his and we ate together... After eating, i suddenly remember that there is a bicycle shop nearby so told hubby to go and take a look see is there any suitable one for Xinru...

When we reached the bicycle shop, i saw some small one and some very pretty ones hanging on top of the shop... Hubby asked to see those pretty ones that has Strawberry Shortcake... i don't really like that cause 1. it's too fanciful already 2. hard to maintain cause there is pictures printed on it... So after letting Xinru tried on both bikes, we choose the BMX one...

She was excited after we bought the bike for her and when we reached home, she kept wanting to cycle in the house... lucky our house is spacious enough to let her ride about 500metres..hehehe... Nowadays as and when she feel like it, she will ask us to park her bike properly so that she can ride on her own... We promise to bring her to downstairs to ride it and even to the park... :)

It was like a long day at home cause i seldom will want to leave the house as i will always stay at home to watch the NDP... I see Xinru like kind of bored, so went took out the Crayola Colour Paint for her to play.... She using the brush and at times use her finger to do the painting..

New Fishes

Hmmm dunno is it because i add too much of the anti-chlorine liquid into the fish tank after i changed the water... One of the fish died on Thursday, 7 August 08...

Thursday morning after Xinru and me reached home, Xinru asked me to the fish tank and tell me 'Mummy, fish 死掉了...' i thought she do not know what's the meaning so i went to see with her... Then i ask her 'Where is it??' and she pointed the fish and tell me 'there...' then i ask her 'got 死掉meh?' she tell me 'got.... see cannot move 了' then i scoop the fish up and flush it off the toilet bowl....

While i was cooking Xinru's dinner, i turned and saw the other fish also turned over.... then i called out Xinru and she ran to me and when i told her that that fish is also dead, she tell me 'no more fish already.... ' then i tell her 'its okie.. we can buy again...' then she tell me 'Mummy, Xinru no more fish... Xinru sad.... Xinru cry....' then i gave her a hug and tell her that we were bring her to buy again...

The next day, after we went for dinner, we went to the fish shop.... This time round, she choose the Guppies... She pick 2 of them and there we went home again... That was her 30th month old present... hehe

Xinru has got a new pet

On Monday night, after taking our dinner, Xinru dashed to the Fish Shop. She always love to go there to see the fishes... The other day i told hubby that maybe we shall buy fishes for her but hubby was quite reluctant.. hehe.... So last night, i told Xinru to pick what fish she wants and i will pay for it but end up, Hubby was the one who paid them... heheh


We bought a small fish tank, 2 small fishes, 1 bottle of liquid for removing the chlorine in the water and 1 water plant.. All these cost about $17.50.. We though there are still some leftover fish food at home so we did not buy any... But when we reached home, we realised we have none.. So tonight i am going to bring Xinru to buy one bottle of fish food... :)

While the lady was packing the stuff, Xinru was so excited and keep saying that 'Is Xinru one.... Its mine...' she kept repeating it and i told her 'Yes, it's Xinru one but we have to wait for the aunty to pack right...' then she keep quiet...


When we reached home, my mom open the door and she told my mom '阿嬷,我有两只leh' then my mom ask her '什么两只?' then she say '两只鱼'...

Before we reached home, i told her some of the 'Dos and Don't' for the fish... i told her that 1. Xinru cannot keep feeding the fish... Only can do it once in the morning before going to school and the other time is at night when we return home from school.. 2.Cannot beat the fish tank 3. Cannot keep bugging to make the fish... She of course sure say okok but yet to know how she really behave... I told her that if she fed the fish too much, the fish will die and she told me that 'later eat 饱饱then死掉then buy new one...' when i heard that, i told her 'no no... if the fish 死掉then cannot buy liao....' then she listen liao and keep quite... hehe....

Last night when Xinru reach home, she went to the kitchen and call out for her fish... She calls her fishes 'Fishy'.... I asked Hubby to pour some of the fish food on a scoop and get Xinru to put it into the fish tank... She was so cute.. She asked me 'Mummy, the fish don't want to eat... Why??' then i was told her that 'The fish will slowly go and mum mum the food one....' Then later on she went to see them again and she tell me 'Mummy, no more food... fish want to mum mum leh...' Then i told her tat some of the fish food are at the bottom... when the fish wan to eat, they will go and find..' Then she insist on feeding the fish... Then i ask her 'Xinru, if mummy give u rice now, you want to eat?' *she just took her dinner and fruites* Then she shake her head and i tell her again 'Xinru 吃饱饱 liao mah.. so Xinru don't want to eat... same as the fish lor... just now Xinru feed them already right.. so they 吃饱饱liao and don;t want to eat already... if they eat too much, later vomit and die how?' And she tell me 'later eat bao bao then vomit....' after that, she did not ask to feed them again...

I realised that she need a lot of explanation and if the explanation given is something that she can accept, she will jolly well listen and be good.... :)

Since she has such a character, i as her mom have to tell and talk a lot to her to make her understand.... Well... what to do.. be a 'lo so' mummy lor... hehehe...

Don't see her as a 2 and 1/2 year old toddler... She has her own thinking and understanding which is far more than and 2 and 1/2 year old kid.... Sometimes i do feel stress-up talking to her cause she will always reply you with something that you don't expect.... :)
