Summary of CNY 2008

We left Sg on the 4 Feb morning. The trip was great. Xinru was as usual excited takin the flight and i admit now bringin her overseas is lot easier and she is able to understand the surroundings better...We were staying at a hotel that we did not stay before, The Sandy Paradise Bay Resort.

~The Hotel we stayed in~

The hotel was spacious and this time round Xinru enjoyed herself cause she went swimming almost everyday and well, she did behave herself... She has really grown up...

We went for house visiting at hubby's grandma and big aunty house. They all comment Xinru is pretty with her smile and she is adorable and she can speak real well for a 2yr old toddler...hehe *of course.. look at her mom... whahaha*

~Activities for Xinru during the trip~

We checked out on 8th morning and as our flight is at night, so we went to my Mother in law's house after checking out.
Hubby's younger brother drove us to the airport in the late afternoon and there, we bought a small cake for Xinru to celebrate her 2nd birthday...
We took the night flight back on the 8th and when we reached home, it was nearly 12 already... I changed Xinru and put her to sleep and i went to bed shortly as it was a tired day.. hehe

On the 3rd day of LNY, we went visiting at my dad's relative house and end at my dad's place. We gambled and i won a little...haha

On the 4th day of LNY. we went house visiting at my mom's relative house and at night went for dinner at the coffee shop with my relatives.

Family Lo Hei 2008

17 Feb, we had a big family dinner at Gim Tim at Grassroot Club, a treat from my mom cause 财神finally 观照her. We had 3 tables there and well, it was a great and nice night. All of my cousins were present except for 3 girl cousin who 1 is working and another 2 did not come with her mom... Although there were some absentee but it was still great.. it really bring us back memories of the times when we were still young.. hmm abt 20 years back at least...haha
I remember the last time we took a group photo was when i was in lower primary at Jurong Bird park so i requested a group photo and we had ourselves standing accordingly to our rank and haha the arrangement look like messy cause of our difference in height.. all memories really came back... and i am so glad that we all enjoyed ourselves tat night.

Xinru 2nd Birthday @ CC

We celebrated Xinru's 2nd birthday in the Infant Care Centre on 1 February, 1 week in advance prior her actual day. Reason being that we were be out of town on 4 February onwards.

We ordered her Elmo Cake few days before the celebration and the next few days i was busying preparing the Party Flavour that are to be given to the little kiddo in the centre.

Finally, everything went on well and of course, my little girl enjoyed herself. Of course when there is a celebration, there will be present. The Infant care gave her a Baby Towl and 1 box of biscuits as present. As for my mom, she bought her a Interactive Laptop which is suppose to be given by daddy. So end up, Daddy buy for her the last series of The Wheels of the Bus and a Jumpstart CD-Rom which she can play on the computer.

Cover Look Contest Dec 2006

Xinru was the Winner of Coverlook Dec 2006 and only this year then we received the prize from Coverlook, a Family Package and a Toddler Package.

We went for the photo taking around Jan and only collected the photos recently. After getting the photos, i regretted going when i have not done my hair... and i totally spolit the pictures... But thank godness, Xinru's one turned out nice... hehe

Our Genting Trip - Day 3

Early in the morning, after washing up and changed, we all went to have our Buffet Breakfast at the First World Hotel Cafe. It was quite crowded but we managed to settle fast. And after the breakfast, hubby went to Casino with mom so me, Xinru and sis went to walk around, see if there is anything that can buy for Xinru and bring her to take some rides that she missed the day before.

i guessed she loved the Choo Choo Train most cause she kept hanging on her mouth that she wants to take the Train. And i think we were the first customers to go and take the Train Ride, the ride was especially long and of course, my dear girl was the happiest...

In the end we bought a small piano of Pooh and Friend and 1 battery operated dog which she can hold the strap and let the dog walk.

We catched the 11+am coach back to Singapore and reached home around late evening. I would consider this trip as a Fun but tired trip... hehe... :)

Our Genting Trip - Day 2

On our 2nd day of the trip, as usual, Xinru woke up around the same timing as she is at home. After she woke up, i change her, gave her milk and we got ready to go for our breakfast. She waitied anxiously at the door, kept asking for my sis and mom. Finally, the door bell rang and we are ready to go...

We went to the kind of like Foodcourt place near the Theme Park. There was a Flying Coaster above us and as and when it bypass us, my dear Xinru will keep saying that she wants to play. A lot of times she even want to come down of the chair to run around. We had a quick breakfast and proceed to collect our Theme Park Ticket which i have booked online prior our trip.

Initially our plan was to wait for the Monorail at the Indoor Theme Park but it seems that the Monorail is really takin it's own sweet time coming into the Indoor Theme Park and Xinru is getting impatient of waiting so we walked out instead.

There are only a few rides that we can ride on due to Xinru's height and age and most of the rides are new to her so we do not dare to let her take. We first went to Flying Jumbo which Xinru loved the most. Initially she was still a bit scare but after a while she got so excited with it and kept wanting to play on it. After talking to her that we will come back again, we moved on to another ride. While me and my sis sneaked to play the Flying Swing, Xinru had a fall and have scratches on her left side of her face. My heart just felt so pain and when i saw her, i almost cried... i blamed myself for sneaking to take rides. I did not reprimand hubby cause i know that Xinru is notti for not listening to her daddy. This should be a lesson for her... We went to the Watson at the hotel lobby to buy Zam Buk and apply on her.

After the above rides, we went back to the hotel for Xinru to rest while hubby went to the Casino. So i slept with Xinru in the hotel and took the room's pictures.

Since our Theme Park tickets are for full day, so after Xinru wake up, we went for our Round 2. We took some of the rides again, brought her to the Playground and went for dinner then again return to the Indoor Theme Park. We ended our Day 2 around 10+ pm.
