Singapore Zoo, Here We Come!!!

It has been hanging on my mouth that we wanna bring Xinru to the Singapore Zoo but it never happen till 30 Novemeber 2007. What to do... not because we do not keep our promise but eversince hubby is studying, everything seems to be 'say only...' haha....

Finally, hubby's examination ended in mid November and so happen that on 30 November, Xinru's Infant Care is closed of Spring Cleaning so we decided to bring her to the Zoo....

Prior to the day that we have decided to go to Zoo, i have been telling Xinru that 'Daddy n Mummy will bring you to the Zoo on friday okie...' and she got excited and keep saying 'Zoo.. Zoo...' and when i ask her 'girl, when are you going to the Zoo?' Guess what.... She tell me 'Friday..' haha.... amazing ya... hehe

On Thursday nite, while i was with her accompanying her to sleep, i tell her that 'girl girl be good... go to sleep and when you wake up, we will go to the Zoo...' and slowly, she drift to sleep...

Morning came, i woke up earlier around 7plus to bath cause normally she will sleep till 730am then wake up but she din not wake up till 815am... and when she woke up, i was in the bathroom and she called me... "mummy.... mummy...." then i open the door and she tell me 'Friday... go Zoo...' haha... i was like laughing....

Finally, daddy is done, we left for our breakfast at Kou Fu and we took a cab down to the Zoo. It is not really very far away from our house by cab though.. Within 1/2 and hour, we reached already.

We covered almost 90% of the Zoo within 3hrs... haha... Xinru seems to love the leaves and grass more than the animals cause she only seems interested in some of the animals.. and most of the time she will be walking around picking leaves... :P

Just before we entered Zoo, they have this group of staff who will stationed at the entrance and will ask to take a photo of whichever group of people are going in. But there is no obiligation whether we wants to buy or not. Before we leave the Zoo, we went to take a look at the photos and eventually we bought it... :)

Meet the Parents Session

We had our first Meet the Parents session on 24 November 2007 at the Childcare centre beside Xinru's current classroom. Sounds weird when i say first ya since she has been in the centre since she was 2 months and 3 weeks old... Reason being that the previous session, she is still in Infant Group, so basically there is nothing much to know about their activities but now she is in the Toddler Group, she has to do some handcrafts and works hence i feel it is good to know her on-goings in the Centre...

Our schedule timing is at 11am but i informed the teachers that we will be earlier as i need to go back to do housework so we reached there around 9+am and ahead of us was Xiao Hui's parents...

While waiting for our turn - Hubby looks tired ya..cause he was being called back to work and reached home only around 5am,6... :)

Finally, our turn came and we went in to see her form teacher, Teacher Julie. She told us some of the activities that they are under-going for them, we asked her about her 'pattern' in the centre and what's ahead for her....

Surprisely, her teacher only told us that she don't like people *referring to her classmate* to touch her and if they do that she will make noise and tell the teachers... Other than that she is the most obedient one in the centre.... That really caught my surprise as she is well known of her bad temper at home and tends to 'shoo' people away if she is not in her good mood.... haha...

Her teacher also mentioned that compare to her classmate, her motor development is slightly behind her classmate who are born in 2005... Hmm that explains why she is slightly behind ya but is consider not bad already... Her teachers also mention that she has improved a lot in her language.

As she is born in 2006 while the rest in 2005, the rest that is born in 2005 will be promoted to Pre-Nursey in December and will only leave Xinru with another boy, Bryan in the Toddler Group and slowly those who are in the Infant Group will be promoted to the Toddler Group and new intake in June 2008.

Understand from her teachers that she is enjoying cause the whole class has only 2 toddler and they have all the things to themselves and the 2 of them are happily dancing and running around the class... hehe

Another common thing that we shared

It's nice to have a baby girl cause i am able to dress the same as her... hehe but too bad, i am too fat to dress like what she can dress.... She can dress in racer-back while i can't cause it will be too revealing for my......... 'FATS' haha.... so till now, the identical things tat we have is our denim jumper, pink top, Brown Polo Tee and Blue Polo Tee....

Crocs has been in the market for quite some time already but when they actually launched the shoes, the smallest size is still long way for Xinru to fit in.... so we did not buy for her... Her feets are consider small so till now she then can fit in the smallest size of the normal pattern but her vainpot mummy likes the Mary Jane style so we bought the same one and same colour... hehe

With the same Mary Jane Crocs shoe, i bought the Winnie The Pooh family Jibbitz and shared with Xinru and i bought another 1 Mickey Mouse glove and Mickey Mouse hat for myself...

After i let her put on her Crocs shoe, i realised that it is still big on her... so both the Crocs will have to keep in the musuem for the time being and hopefully by Chinese New Year, we can wear it.... After putting on the shoe, Xinru sees that we are having the same shoe, she asked to hold my hand and walk around the house... she is lovely ya.. hehe then i ask Hubby to take a shot for us... hehe we even posed for the pic...
