Xinru's Little Nephew

Well... last Saturday our house was kind of crowded.. hehe.... After Xinru went to the Infant Care, Mummy and me went to meet Sis to go shopping at Compass Point to buy some stuff using me birthday discount... After buying, we went back to my house...

Shortly after Xinru came back from the centre, Ivy and her mom came over my house, cause Ivy told me that her mom suddenly has the urge of wanting to see Xinru so i asked them over lor.. hehe

After a while, Baby Ryan arrives... hehe My little grand nephew and Xinru's little nephew came... Xinru was so excited.... The previous night when i asked her whether she wants to see Baby Ryan she was already so excited... And previously my niece did bring Ryan over my place for a short while and when he started to cry a little, i ask her to put Ryan onto Xinru' rocking chair. So last night when i tell her about Ryan, she went to her rocking chair, pointing to the chair and say 'Ryan... sit.... sayang...' i guess she was trying to tell me that 'Ryan sits on the rocking chair and she sayang him..' then after that she keep saying and saying the same thing again and when i was on the phone, she still talking about Ryan... haha

So when she saw Ryan, she was like calling out to him at the door... 'Ryan.... Ryan...' then when my mom carried him over, she placed him on the rocking chair and Xinru hurried over and stand beside him... She kept looking at him... then when she sees that Ryan played saliva, she say 'yeee...' and took his handkerchief and clean his mouth... and when he started to make some noise, she went to on the vibrator to calm him down...

They stayed at my house till 5plus and left. When they were going back home, Xinru was making noise... She wants Ryan to stay.... hehe.... She simply love her little nephew ya... :)

Drinking from cup

Last Saturday finally let Xinru drink from cup... Actually already tried to let her try few months back after we brought the Barney's cup but apparetly, we stopped it cause even though she knows how to drink from cup, she tends to play with the water inside so i gave up.. hehe..


Last Saturday, after her dinner, i poured some water in a container and together with the cup went to sit down beside her.... Before i even gave her the water, i told her that "mummy will let you drink in your cup ok... but after the water in this container is finished, no more already...' So as usual, she nodded her head and i poured about 10-15ml at a time..


She started drinking and not making a mess so when the water in the container has finished, i told her that i need to keep the cup and she happily let me keep.. Then i tell her that 'from today onwards, after your dinner, Mummy will let you drink from your cup but other than that, you cannot...'


This evening after her dinner, i gave her again and she happily finished the water and not asking for more although i can see that she wants to 'play drinking' from cup.. hehe

1. Toilet Training
Xinru has been telling on that she wants to go 小便 mostly at night when i am accompanying her to sleep other than that, unless she is not playing anything if not she will not tell us that she wants to go toilet...
But i think her poos have been very dry and hard so it seems like after one or twice of telling us she wants to 'enn enn' she only shows us that she wants to poo. I monitored a few times and realised that i think she feels pain at her anus so she does not want to sit on the toliet bowl to do her big business and there is slight bleed when i cleaned her after her poos.. Which is one of the reason why i do not want to toilet train her at this stage but apparetly she started her own toilet training.
I checked with the teachers whether did they start toilet train her but they say no and maybe it could be that she sees other older kiddos being taught to do that and she learned from them...
Last weekend when we went to Compass Point, she told me she wants to 小便 so i hurried her to the toilet and i think she kept her bladder too long and before she sits on the toilet bowl, her urine gushed out....

2. Discipline
I bought a cane like few months back just in case i need it... haha... Initially when i bought it, she is still a little afraid of it but i think her daddy spoilt market used it too often on small issue example when Xinru does her little notti act like offing the tv when her daddy is watching and now she is no longer afraid of it...
Like when she try to climbs up the coffee table, i will tell her that 'if u climb, mummy will use cane ok.. u want?' then she will tell me 'want..' so i took and when she trys to climb up again, i give a slight hit on one side of the leg and she 'offered' her other leg for me to beat... same goes to the hand. Eventually i give up the idea of using cane.
Last weekend, i think due to lack of sleepy, she gets a bit couchy and when she does not get her Barney VCD from the TV console, she sits on the floor and cry real hard... Nothing can stop her and guess what she do next... She stood up, goes to the side of the TV console and pull down all the letters and papers on the console all over the floor.... I saw it and she purposely did it for me to see again. This time round, i went to her, told her nicely to pick up all the things and what she do next?? She did it to show me again. I was of course angry, gave her palm a smack. That does not help though and she continued to pull the rest of the letters down onto the floor. I smacked the other palm of hers and this time round, she cries and stood infront of her daddy. She cough while crying and she actually spit out her saliva on the floor!! I am real angry and went to 'tack' her cheek and it turns red... and of course she was crying like dunno what.. and throwing her tanturms....
I dragged her and put her on a chair near the main door and asked her to sit there. She sit there crying but did not come down cause i tell her that she can't come down till she settles down. True enough she sat there crying... I asked her whether have she cried enough and she shake her head.... and i tell her to continue sitting there till she cried enough...
After a while, i asked her again 'Have u cried enough?' This time round, she nodded her head and quiet down... Then i walked over to her and tell her that what she does is a no no and that mummy will get angry then i gave her a hug and i told her nicely 'So now, can darling help mummy to keep those letters and put it back onto the table?' she nodded her head and ran and kept all the letters and put them back in place.... See it works!!! hehe....
I truly believe that after she came down from the notti chair, we have to talk to them and really showed her that we still love her but her bahaviour is not accepted....
That was the first time i used the notti chair on her and now when she reach home or is near the chair, she will point and tell me 'mummy.. notti chair..' and i will tell her 'yes... that's the notti chair and if Xinru is notti, mummy will have to put you on the notti chair... Understand?' and she nodded her head and say 'understand...'

Sometimes it pains me to use my hands on her but i feel that now she is growing up already if i dun teach her the right things then when should i start?? When she gets nottier?? i think by then it will be harder to teach...

3. Languages
She is getting more and more vocal with her sentences but she will like paused a while if the sentence is kind of long to her....

Example
i) that day when i bring her to the school, she saw a cat climbing up the tree and i told her that 猫猫爬树 wait fall down knock knock pain pain..' then after that she walk and walk then suddenly she will say '猫猫...爬树... fall down knock knock....' then i will tell her 'ya... 猫猫...爬树... later fall down pain pain lor...' after a while she will repeat again...
Now every day on the way home, she will keep calling out for 猫猫 and tell me the same thing again... haha

ii) I also use 'crawl crawl' to make her still on the bed.. hehe like when i do not want her to go out of the room and i tell her 'got crawl crawl ok.. if you come down, later crawl crawl will bite you....' then every nite when she gets on the bed, she will tell me instead 'crawl crawl... bite.... xinru....' then i will tell her 'u cannot go down okie.. later crawl crawl come ah...' :P

iii) Every nite, she will point to her arm and tell me 'mummy... zackers bite... pain pain...' and i will tell her 'zackers bite Xinru huh..' and she will nodded her head and say 'yes..' then i will tell her 'next time if Zackers wants to bite you, Xinru tell him go away.. cannot bite...' and now when she tells me again that Zackers bite her, she will say 'mummy... zackers bite.. pain pain... go away....' hehe... She is able to understand and use the words correctly even if the things that we say is different.... :)

4. Sweet things
She might be still a little toddler but she does do sweet things.... sometimes at home when i am not with her and she is playing with her toys alone, she will suddenly call out for me in those very sweet tone.... then when i replied her 'yes darling...' then she will say tat too.... sometimes when i ask her to 帮mummy按摩... She will come to you, then pressed my shoulder....

5. My Little Discipline Mistress
Why i call her this... Her daddy has a habit of putting his legs on the other 2 seater sofa when he is sitting on the 3 seater sofa and when Xinru sees that, she will tell her daddy 'daddy.... no no....' and she will go and make her daddy's leg off the sofa then tell him 'cannot...'

Hmm time to stop.... getting too wordy already... :P

Xinru's Our Helper

Over the weekend, we bought a new fan and when we reach home and hubby placed the fan on the floor, took out his key to open the door.. The next thing is, Xinru called out 'Daddy.... take....fan....' then i told her that daddy need to open the door...


When we went into the house, hubby placed it near the wall and she started touching the box then hubby removed the ruffle string that was tied around the box and he sees that Xinru walking around then he ask Xinru to try to remove the scotch tape. Xinru tried to remove the scotch tape and say 'cannot....' then i ask her what happen and she tell me 'mummy.. cannot...' then i was like laughing there.....

Hubby open up the box, took out the things then leave the plastic on the floor and those card board on the floor then since she wants to help, i ask her to help to clear the plastic into the big box... then she went round and start putting them into the big box... then as and when her daddy remove one, she will go and pick and throw inside the big box.... After the plastic bag are all inside the big box, she tell me no more so i asked her to keep the cupboards and after the fan is being set up, she went to sit infront of the fan and see how it works... She just look so cute doing all this little actions...

East Coast Park

We bring Xinru to East Coast Park on 8 Nov for dinner.... As hubby need to study for exam so i bring Xinru together with my bro, sis and Isaac together with mom....

When i told her that we were going out, she was so happy.... Jumping in joy but the journey was a little long so when near to reaching the destination, she got a bit restless in the car even though bro on Barney to let her watch.

Then weather was great that day.... Xinru enjoyed the sea breeze and was standing by the grille and watching the sea...

The Happy Us

Enjoying the sea breeze After a while, i bring her back to the restaurant and i showed her the big Sarawak crabs in the tank and when the crab moved, she told me that the crab is walking... and she goes 'walkin walkin walkin...' then shortly i bring her back to the table and just nice the dishes came and i scooped 1/2 bowl of the rice and add some vegetables herbal gravy and add in some fish for her.. She enjoyed the food and i gave her 1/4 more of the rice and she finished all....

After the rice, as one of the dish there is those crackers so i gave her some to bite... It was very crunchy so she enjoyed it too.... When the crackers gets a bit softer, she started offering it to my mom and to me cause no longer got sound when bite so she gave us.. hehe

After sitting there for about 30-45 mins, she started getting restless and bro bring her to walk around outside the restuarant and came back later to drink water then she asked me to bring her to walk walk... Since i have finished my food, i just bring her out and take some photos....

Very fast, the sky turns darker and she is still active running around.... There was a little boy who is younger than Xinru went to chase her and Xinru ran away then shortly, Xinru went to chase that little boy instead... hehe....

Then as she walked, she saw a little baby who was carried by his daddy and Xinru went forward and say hi to the baby then tat baby's daddy came down and let Xinru have a nearer contact with the baby and Xinru actually go and sayang the baby gently..... So cute....

Then i saw a bowl in the middle of the field and ask if Xinru wants to go in and take photo then she say ok and i put her in and took some photos.... then when we are about to go back, she saw a ang moh boy inside sobbing and she stand there and watch the boy....

On our way back home, she is getting more and more tired then shortly after we reach home, she fall asleep.... :)

My Precious is 21 months old!!

Times just files.... in another 3 months, Xinru is turning 2 years old already.... real fast hor... Hmm but no intention for any birthday celebration but just get her a small cake to let her blow candle... as for her CC side, will get some little party flavours to the little kiddos there.... :)

As usual, took some photos on the day she turned 21 months old....

i also feel that she has more sense of responsibility now. Just like she wants to play her toys, she will go and take from her toys box then she will keep her toys when i ask her to... at times, i need not say but just tell her 'girl, let's go bathing already..' and she will keep her toys... I am not trying to say that she is 100% a good or perfect girl cause at times she really does drives me mad... hehe.... Overall, i feel she deserves 95 points out of 100 to grade her at her stage... :)

Like that day, she was taking out her toys to play, taking out one by one out of the toys box and after taking out for some times, she actualli use pour one to take out all the toys... and when the time come when i ask her to go to bathe, she actualli kept all the toys but of course with my help if not i am not sure when she will finished clearing up the toys... :)

Xinru's new play thing

Last weekend when we went out for lunch, i bought Xinru a new doodle cause the doodle at home are those small ones which are good for bring out so bought her a bigger one so that she can draw on bigger surface area.. this one even comes with 3 chop of a car, star and circle shape and she sure enjoyed playing with it.. :)

Xinru's new haircut

Xinru has her 2nd hair cut on earth on 28 October 2007 at Super Cuts @ Compass Point. It was a new experience as she was sitting on a kiddy ride car while the stylist is cutting her hair.

There is a television set in front of the car tat is screening her favourite character, Barney. When the stylist started cutting, she actually keep turning her head behind and keep showing a 'what is tis uncle doing behind me, touching my hair??' face... hehe then i used a book to distract her and within 5 mins, it's done. At least now she looks more like a girl... and more tidy... :)

The short cut costs us $18.20 as we choose to let her cut while on the kiddy car and for those normal seat one will cost $12.00... hehe
